Mini-Crumbles with Plums and Hazelnut

Once again we had a craving for something sweet and I decided to make mini-crumbles
The plums are ripening and had to think of a way to use them. They are, of course, perfect as such too.

The crumble recipe is almost like that of the apple and oatmeal bake that mom made, and all Finns make. The nuts are the only addition and have to thank Sport magazine (8/2011) for sharing a recipe on berry-hazelnut crumble. I would’ve never thought of putting nuts into this.

This is what you need for 5 small crumble pie or one large one. I do not put n quite as much fruit as the recipe says.

0.5 liter of berries or fruit
1 dl oatmeal
1 dl almond powder
1 dl chopped hazelnuts
3 tbsp sugar, 2 tsp vanilla sugar, 1 tsp ground cardamom
1 egg
0.5 dl melted butter

Pre-heat the oven to 200 C.
Grease the pie forms. Fill half-full with berries.
Mix the rest of the ingredients together and sprinkle on the berries.
Bake for 20 minutes.

Let the pies cool a bit and enjoy with a ball of ice cream.
I use my creme brûlée forms when baking these and last I used chopped plums.
The other week I cooked some rhubarb and strawberries in sugar for the crumbles.

This is a picture of unbaked crumbles. Forgot to take a picture because we were in such a hurry to eat them.
