The contents of my tea bag jar was a lonely bag of Earl Grey and this is why I reached for the Kusmi Russian Morning jar. No white sugar either but coconut sugar.
This is recipe is for a batch of 50 cookies.
100g butter, 1 dl sugar, 1 egg, 1,5 dl flour, 1 dl graham flour, vanilla, 1/2 tsp baking powder, dash of salt, 1 big tbsp Earl Grey tea/ 5 bags
Beat the soft butter and sugar until it is fluffy. Add the egg. Mix all the dry ingredients together and mix in the dough. Refrigerate the dough for at least half an hour.
Roll the dough out, half a centimetre thick and press out small round cookies with a glass. Place on baking paper on abating sheet. Bake in 200 C for 5-10 minutes.
The dough has a distinctive taste of tea which weakens slightly in the oven. Enjoy the cookies with tea to get the full experience.
